FAQ
We are open 24/7, offering flexible drop-in and overnight care to fit your schedule.
Due to our frequent outings and active schedule, care is designed for children 18 months and older. We may consider younger children on a case-by-case basis, depending on their individual needs and our current availability. One-time, evening, or occasional care (such as date nights) may offer more flexibility with age than regularly scheduled weekly care.
A water bottle, tooth brush, and bottles/formula. I provide all food, diapers, wipes, diaper cream, sunscreen, back up clothes, etc.
I am a legal, background checked, inspected, and state regulated child care home through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Texas recognizes three levels of home child care (listed, registered, and licensed) and I operate as a registered home, which means I meet state requirements for training, safety, and regular inspections. I’m proud to share that my home has never been cited or marked down for any deficiencies during inspection.
I am screen free during the day. For families using evening or overnight care, I offer a single episode of a calm, age appropriate show like Little Bear, Franklin, or Daniel Tiger before bed.
Arts and crafts, story time, music, sensory play, and age-appropriate practical life skills such as helping with cooking and learning to take care of themselves and their environment
I use gentle guidance and age-appropriate redirection. I focus on helping children understand emotions, set boundaries, and practice kindness.
At this time, I do not assist with potty training. Children must arrive in diapers and stay in them throughout the day. Because my program is part-time and many families attend only a few days a week, I ask that potty training be done at home on non-care days or over long weekends. This helps ensure consistency for your child and keeps our routine smooth and sanitary for everyone.
Once your child is fully independent with toileting, I'm happy to support that independence here too.
You are welcome to come by, call, or pick up your child at anytime! You can also drop by to play or breastfeed if you have a gap in your schedule. Any parent spending an extended amount of time (20+ minute more than once a week) will require a background check. I do not do tours with any adults I've never met while there are children in care.
I am very flexible and happy to extend pick-up times at the normal hourly rate if parents communicate in advance and if availability allows. Late pick-ups without prior notice and confirmation will incur a $50 fee in addition to the hourly rate.
Outings are an important (and fun!) part of our program, but they are always optional. You’ll have the chance to give or withhold permission in your enrollment paperwork. I plan each day’s activities based on who is attending and what permissions I have on file. For children attending full days regularly, outings are a core part of our routine and may be unavoidable.
